MARY NEWCOMB - Mary Newcomb is an award-winning artist and a Fellow of the Bau Institute, Otranto, Italy. Newcomb graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and then lived in London for a year. After returning to the United States she studied in NYC at Parsons School of Design, The Arts Students League, the National
Academy and in New Mexico at the School of Realist Art in Santa Fe. Among other venues, Newcomb’s work has been shown at the Affordable Art Fair and First Street Gallery in NYC, Ille Gallery in Amagansett, NY , the Gay Head Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard and the Bendheim and Flinn Galleries in Greenwich, CT. Her work is on permanent display at Fuji Photo Flim, USA Corporate Headquarters in White Plains, NY.
Newcomb also founded a multi-sensory arts enrichment program for children that combines live-music, hands-on art and history. In 2015 she was selected to attend the “Arts and Passion Driven Learning Institute” at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Co-Sponsored by Yo-Yo Ma and his Silkroad Project. Since 2013, she has partnered with Bridgeport Elementary Schools and runs the program for 100 inner city students per year.
