As an artist, Michael Thron draws inspiration from architecture and the exploration of the figure in space and the figure as space. By creating a relationship between these elements, Michael's work evokes ideas of identity and anonymity. Using space as a tangible component he communicates and produces objects and installations that personally resinate with social identity and the affect it permeates onto free will.

Michael received his BFA in sculpture from Syracuse University, and is attending Ramapo College in New Jersey for his Post-Baccalaureate year. He has exhibited locally at Flinn Gallery and the Katonah Museum of Art. Michael currently resides and practices in Greenwich, CT.

For additional information, please visit www.annettevoreyer.com ARTIST STATEMENT Art is more than a word. It is a celebration of life. Through my painting I am able to engage in an emotional dialogue with my subject. My work reflects that personal experience and is conveyed to the viewer in an impressionistic manner using energetic brushstrokes and vivid colors.
