Andrea Scott is a painter working in watercolors who lives in New Rochelle, N.Y., and Sheffield, Mass. Her work has appeared in shows in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts-including at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge - many of them judged by curators of major museums, such as the Sterling and Francine Clark Institute of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim.
Her awards include the Marie Mathews Beran Award and The Stone Studio Award of the Greenwich Art Society and first prize in the art shows associated with the Berkshires' Housatonic River Summer.
When she started painting, Andrea worked for Consumer Reports as an editor and publisher, work she still does on a smaller scale. She is a founder and co-editor of the Sheffield Times, a community newsletter in Sheffield, Mass. She has edited a book about art in the Berkshires, Art and the River, and written a book about painting,
So Many Colors in the World.
In addition to publishing catalogs of her work, she produces an annual calendar featuring "landscapes wild and cultivated."
Calendars and catalogs are available through her website.

Originally a representational artist, for many years Liana has favored semi-abstract and abstract painting, and has developed a unique style in creating imaginative paintings in various media, including watercolor, oil, pastel, collage, encaustic, woodcut, etching, monoprint and monotype. Critics have acclaimed her work as "timeless, done with an exquisite sense of design, balance and color harmony" and "holding a sense of movement and excitement."
A long-standing member of GAS as well as a Life Member; a member of many arts organizations including the National Association of Women Artists among others, Liana has supported GAS with her dedication and loyalty for over 30 years.
